As many may know I'd been waiting like forever to get my broken wisdom tooth pulled, and after being put off like 3 times by my former dentist (at PICH), I went in for my extraction today.

Let's not even mention that they'd actually called me last Thursday trying to re-schedule my appointment YET again!!

After hearing that, my grandmother told me that she had a bad feeling about the new dentist that had started working there (my first tooth pull was by an excellent dentist, but unfortunately he left the clinic).

Well, I decided to go ahead in anyway, and see if they could fit me in somehow....BIG MISTAKE!

So I get called back after a little waiting, the usual gets done, (x-ray, mouth numbing, etc) but during the procedure she starts struggling to pull the tooth out, and in the end breaks the remaining crown of it off, and gives up, leaving the root of the tooth stuck in my mouth! She claimed it was too risky and I'd have to get oral surgery to get the root out.

Fortunately the nurse (who was so sweet) not only requested that they refund my $80, but she slipped me the addresses of two other dental clinics who I'd never heard of until today, and was certain that one of them could pull my tooth.
So, I end up leaving the clinic, numb and frustrated (but still with a full refund in tow).

It took me a while to get an appointment in at the second clinic, and after a while the numbing meds began to wear off from where this chick had kicked my mouth all around...it was excruciating

Luckily this new place was able to pull it. (though for a higher cost seeing as the tooth was a bit more difficult to pull after being damaged more).
For some reason the root of this tooth was really stuck in thar, and the dentsit and I had to play a lil tug-o-war to get it free

My little adventure started around 9AM this morning and as of 4PM EST I am now free of that demon tooth (and out for $175, but thank God for employment eh??)!

So for now I'm at home recovering (still quite sore...imagine getting jabbed with huge needles twice in a day like that, and yanked around twice to boot)


Oh, and for those who are wondering about Hellsing High, don't worry about it, I will get back to it. All this life drama really made me loose focus on the project, but soon my work hours will be reducing and I'll have more time to work on it, and of course I no longer have a tooth kicking my ass
Little Red is a fun distraction, but it's not a project that will be taking off anytime soon. I intend to get the first finished.
